Check out the standings below. Wonka starring Timothée Chalamet climb back up to regain the top spot at the weekend box office, earning an additional $24 million for a three-week total of $134.6 million. Click here to read our review. Last weekend’s top movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom starring Jason Momoa, dropped to second place, taking in $19.5 million for a two-week total of $77.8 million. The animated film Migration about a mallard family flying south held onto third, earning an extra $17.2 million for a two-week total of $54.3 million. The musical The Color Purple debuted in fourth place, taking in $13 million over the weekend for a total of $45.3 million since it debuted on Christmas Day. Rounding out the top five was the romantic comedy Anyone But You starring Sydney Sweeney, earning an additional $9 million for a two-week total of $25 million. One of the new movies that opened Christmas Day made it into the top five at the weekend box office, while Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom took a drop in its second weekend. Check out the standings below.
