Rosie Jones has shut down trolls, taking to social media with an “incredibly thought out” response for her 149,000 followers.The comedian was met with an onslaught of nasty comments after she was recently named in the upcoming lineup of Channel 4’s bizarre game show Taskmaster.She will star alongside other famous faces including jokesters Andy Zaltzman, Babatunde Aléshé, Emma Sidi and Jack Dee.Although the announcement featured the full list of contestants Rosie, who lives with cerebral palsy, faced the majority of the abuse.This included ableist comments and remarks which took aim at her career and claimed she was “not funny”.However, the 33-year-old brushed off the trolls and took to Instagram with a simple yet brutal gesture.Rosie posted a silent selfie clip captioned: “Hams be ready to be angry for ten weeks straight.”She added: “Here’s my incredibly thought-out response to all the hams who are angry that I am on the next series of Taskmaster.”In the video, the Out of Order star threw up a casual middle finger to the camera.Although she seemed unbothered in her response, just two weeks ago Rosie was forced to quit social media due to “hurtful” comments.Her X account remains deactivated after she was subjected to nasty comments but left a parting message to fans.In a now-deleted post, reshared by a supporter Rosie wrote: “I've not felt a lot of joy from this social platform in a long time, so to come on and see I'm trending, yet again, is exhausting.“I could say comedy is subjective but the truth is the comments are hurtful. I used to love Twitter but I don't care for this centre of hate. Goodbye.”
