Faye Winter joked about her appearance on Love Island before she had her lip fillers dissolved, comparing herself to a dead fish.

The 28-year-old reality TV star made the humorous comment while competing on Celebrity MasterChef: Christmas Cook Off with other celebs like Blue’s Duncan James, singer Mel Blatt, and actor Richard Blackwood. Faye, who appeared on Love Island in 2021, has since had her lip fillers dissolved after realising she had gone “too far” with them.

She has also joined a campaign advocating for only medical professionals to perform procedures like injecting lip fillers and botox. In an Instagram video, Faye discussed her lips being a “talking point for the last two years.” and showed photos of her lips at various stages. Faye revealed that she finally visited a medically trained professional who put in 0.5 mil of filler, which left her lips looking how she had “always wanted”.

She shared a close-up photo of her lips and said: “I honestly love them so so much I will only now maintain this size and I think they frame my face perfectly” She’s been open about her surgery regrets before, and on the Saving Grace podcast, she joked that she was serving “a whole lot of lip” while in the Love Island villa.

Faye added: “When people say to me, ‘well you obviously saw how big your lips were’, you don’t. And then I saw myself, and I was like ‘yo’!” She also mentioned that she wished she’d had the filler removed earlier than she did, and that this wasn’t her only plastic surgery regret.

It comes after Faye revealed that she lost work after speaking out against the government ban on XL Bullys. She shared a video on social media of her meeting a dog of that breed called Nala and claimed that the breed had been misjudged. The ban came in to place after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reacted to a series of attacks that either left a person with serious injuries or died.

The new law will make it illegal to breed, sell, advertise, exchange, rehome, abandon or allow an XL Bully dog to stray in England and Wales. But Faye said that she could not just sit back and watch as the ban is enforced. She wrote: “NALA – firstly what an honour to meet such an incredible, kind soul that the UK wants to generalise as evil. It was a pleasure to be in your company from the moment I saw you to the moment I left. “

She added: “I’m not here to take away from anyone that has been the subject of a dog attack, I’m sorry you’ve had to endure pain and heartbreak, I’m also not here saying that there is no evil in people that own this breed. All I know is that most of these dogs are just like Nala preparing to have their innocent lives ended on the 31st of December because they are in rehoming centres and I can’t sit back and watch. “

She continued: “Through speaking on this subject I’ve endured hate and lost work but if I can save one dog’s life I know it will be for something. All you see in the media is one small horrendous snippet and I can see why people are fearful, I’m just wanting to show you another side the true side for most of this breed. You all gave us a platform and I’ll be dammed if I’m not using it.”
