Stacey Solomon shares update with fans as Joe Swash struck down by illness

Stacey Solomon shared the reality of being married as her husband Joe Swash got sick with the ‘man-bug’ a week before Christmas.

The Loose Women panellist took to her Instagram Stories to share a video of all the house work she completed while Joe focused on getting better. “Spend the morning with me while Joe has the sickness bug and when Joe has the sickness bag the world has practically ended,” she said.

While sharing clips of her cleaning the bathroom and changing the bedsheets, she joked: “If I got the sickness bug that he’s got, I probably wouldn’t even notice but here we are. I’m not taking any chances. No, he really is ill, bless him.” Stacey also did the laundry and mopped the floor.

“Spend the morning with us while Joe’s got the man-bug. My voice is giving ‘I’ve been up all night telling my husband to be sick quietly’,” she said in the caption.

It comes after Stacey opened up about the disagreement she had with Joe over the prospect of the two having more children. The celebrity duo share kids Rex, four, Rose, two, and Belle, almost one, whilst Loose Women star Stacey has two older children from previous relationships.

Chatting on her new show, Stacey Solomon’s Crafty Christmas, former I’m A Celebrity King of the Jungle, Joe insisted his wife often insists she’s done with having babies, but follows it up with a look to suggest otherwise. In the programme, Stacey and Joe were painting cardboard tubes for a festive project.

The conversation soon turned to the possibility of having more children. “I can’t believe how fast this year has gone,” Stacey declared. “We had a baby ten months ago.” Ever the smooth one, Joe replied: “I know and look how good you look – I don’t look too bad either, do I?” Stacey, 34, hit back: “You didn’t have to do much.” And when asked what she thought 2024 had in store for them as a couple, she insisted: “I’m not getting pregnant again, Joe, if that’s what you’re insinuating.”

Laughing, Joe, 41, added: “Mate, you make out that I want the babies! Whenever we have this conversation, you’re like ‘no, we’re not having no more babies’ and then you give me the look, as if to say ‘I want a baby’.” It prompted Stacey to tell her spouse he was “seriously misled” by her facial expressions, to which he responded: “As soon as one of our babies goes to nursery, you’re like ‘right, time for another one’.”
