Helen Flanagan branded ‘ditzy and smelly’ by throuple king David Haye

Unearthed comments made by former boxer David Haye have come to light following feverish rumours that he is in a throuple with Helen Flanagan.

The retired boxer, 43, brought the idea of being in a three-way relationship to the main stage when he was pictured with girlfriends Una Healy and Sian Osborne. After his split with Una in February and on the back of Helen’s split with Scott Sinclair, it has been reported that Helen and David have been on a series of dates, since matching on dating app Raya. However David’s opinion of Helen Flanagan has clearly changed after he had a different point of view when they appeared in I’m A Celebrity together in 2012.

While talking about his experience in the Australian jungle and his relationship with his camp mates, David said at the time: “Helen is a real cute little chick, a bit ditzy, but she stinks of fake tan.” Although David and the mum of three have grown close, her relationship with David’s girlfriend Sian is yet to become social media official. A source told The Sun: “She’s met Sian before and is aware of reports of their throuple set-up but is obviously not involved.”

David and Sian have been dating since 2020. Another source told The Mirror: “Helen reconnected with David earlier this year. They got on like a house on fire and have been messaging a lot since. Helen and Sian have also met and hit it off straight away. Helen’s a very open-minded person and all three got on well. Helen has had some difficult dating experiences since becoming single but is really enjoying David’s company.”

The source added: “Helen and David got on well in the jungle, and so have seen each other a fair bit over the years. But recently they seem to have really clicked and had that chemistry. They’re having a lot of fun together.” David and Una called it quits back in February this year and when she appeared on Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally’s My Therapy Ghosted Me podcast, she insisted that it was David who wanted it to be labelled a throuple.

Una said: “Dating HIM is the right term because that’s how it was, it wasn’t a throuple. We had a lovely relationship.” She also revealed that she and David had met on the celebrity dating app, Raya, and that he had told her straight away that he “doesn’t believe in traditional relationships”.

Back in March it was reported that Una ended her relationship with the sportsman after receiving negative attention surrounding it. A source told OK!: “She just didn’t think it was worth it in the end. It went from something fun into a big media frenzy and everyone seemed to be talking about it.” The former Saturdays also claimed that she wanted to focus on her family but this comes after David and Sian travelled to Costa Rica without. Una was previously married to rugby player Ben Foden and they have two children together.
