Fred Sirieix’s fiancée Fruitcake has defended the I’m A Celebrity star, amid his jungle clashes with his co-stars.
The First Dates star was seen struggling with not being able to lead with the cooking in camp, having previously been the chef. It comes after his latest clash with Josie Gibson in camp, as she called him out for interfering with the jungle dinner despite her now being the cook.
Fred’s interference and desperation to take over the cooking once more has divided viewers, as well as his campmates. He was seen venting to EastEnders star Danielle Harold about not being able to do it himself, as well as his frustration over people not listening to his advice.
But his partner has admitted she isn’t surprised by his reaction to no longer being the camp chef, amid his clashes with campmates. Speaking on Lorraine on Monday morning, Fruitcake shared that Fred does all of the cooking at home, so he probably isn’t used to having it taken away from him.

She revealed to host Lorraine Kelly: “He’s like that at home but to be fair Lorraine, I don’t do any cooking so I can’t say I step away. He does it at home. He says he’s in charge of pleasure and pleasure is feeding me.
“He does all the cooking so I am not surprised he’s struggled to step away with Josie.” With him set to face the next trial, she also revealed what Fred feared the most telling Lorraine: “[He’s] not good [with rats], but he’s even worse with spiders… I imagine a few screams in that trial.”
On Sunday, fans saw yet another awkward moment between Fred and Josie. Fred asked Josie: “Did you do the beans, Josie. Did you soak them?” to which she replied: “No.” Fred then guided Tony about the pan placement on the fire too, saying: “Put it flat Tony, you’ve got to make sure it’s flat. Not quite flat…”
Josie then went onto the bus to tell new camp leader Nella: “He’s really getting involved all the time” Nella replied: “My whole thing is, we came to the jungle to have fun and do new experiences and everybody should be able to try new things. If you want to cook…” Josie added: “He’s not cooking anymore and I don’t think he’ll grasp it.”

Later in the episode, Josie told Fred to leave her to it after she said he was basically telling her “how to cook chips”. Josie quipped she was brought up on chips and making them, so didn’t need his guidance and had everything under control.
Josie was frustrated as he continued to tell her how to cook things, asking her if she was boiling the potatoes before putting them in the pan. After Josie’s comments, Fred did admit her cooking was “brilliant” as he complimented her crispy potatoes.
